Students enrolled in the Master's degree of Medical Biotechnologies will be offered the opportunity to participate in a Double Degree program with the Universität Ulm (Germany) in order to obtain a double degree over two years: the Master of Science in Medical Biotechnologies (University of Padua) and the Master of Science in Molecular Medicine (University of Ulm).

Within the total of 65 places allocated for the course (comprising those reserved for EU citizens, equivalent status individuals, and non-EU residents abroad), a maximum of 5 places are designated for the Double Degree program.

The Double Degree program allows students to spend their first semester of the second year in Germany, with the option to complete their internship there. Graduates receive both Italian and German degrees.

PROCEDURE FOR NON-EU CANDIDATES RESIDING ABROAD - DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAM

Non-EU candidates residing abroad who are eligible to participate in the selection for this program are those who have already succeeded in the spring selection and have confirmed their acceptance by paying the first installment of university fees.

The selection process for admission to the Master's Degree Course in Medical Biotechnologies reserved for non-EU candidates residing abroad is conducted according to the terms and procedures specified in the relevant admission notice, available at https://www.unipd.it/ammissioni-med-medicalbio.

Candidates who are successful in that selection may compete for access to the Double Degree program. The procedures to be followed are:

 1. Contact the Admissions and Welcome Section of the Global Engagement Office (international.admission@unipd.it) by sending a specific letter of motivation for the Double Degree program;

 2. Pre-enroll on the Universitaly portal www.universitaly.it/index.php/dashboard, indicating the University of Padua and the chosen course of study. Pre-enrollment is necessary to request a study visa from the Italian diplomatic representation in the country of residence;

 3. Take the admission test in the manner and within the timeframes indicated in the Call for Admission reserved for citizens of the European Union or equivalent (https://www.unipd.it/ammissioni-med-medicalbio).

Admitted candidates must meet the language requirements and possess the required entry qualification by the deadlines specified in the Admission Notice for non-EU candidates residing abroad, available at www.unipd.it/avvisi-ammissione-lauree-magistrali-inglese.

Upon arrival in Italy, candidates must submit the required documentation to the Admissions and Welcome Section of the Global Engagement Office, according to the procedures that will be indicated on the page www.unipd.it/studiare-inglese-immatricolarsi.

Failure to submit documentation, submission of incomplete documentation, or submission of an unsuitable qualification will not allow the completion of enrollment by the offices.

To ensure a regular start of teaching activities, all international students must be duly enrolled with all necessary documents by October 31, 2025.
